BFA Review Week

It has been an extremely busy stretch of time since my last post. This week I have all my BFA Thesis work thus far on display in the LaVerne Krause Gallery (LVK) of Lawrence Hall on the University of Oregon campus. Of course the restrictions associated with the Covid-19 pandemic put a damper on the event, but it's still a great opportunity. On display I have both physical and digital elements. The digital is a preview trailer for what will be the full video coming out at the completion of next term. The video is titled "Document" and is also included in this post - I will explain the title in a later post as I don't want to give away any of the narrative. For the physical display I have three sets along with seven different puppets that I will be using in the full video. I have also put out my Artist's book and a QR code that points to this website so that people can see everything else that is here.

As to what else is new since my last update, I created another puppet (nicknamed it "19"). For visual reference the puppet has a red and black outfit. There are pics here and in the Other Artworks section of this website (scroll down to the BFA Thesis Project Media). I also put some finishing touches on an existing set and built yet another. While I'm okay with the results, limitations on my time prevent me from really getting detailed with the various set elements - which is probably a good thing. :)

Lastly, I have five other Art & Tech BFA classmates who also have works on display in the LVK Gallery.
